Castiel had little time to hesitate- he head learned from too many experiences with wounded that any second could be the last for a human- and though the goddess might be able to restore them to some semblance of life, Cas had never shied away from helping if he could. It took him little more than a blink to end up underneath the island, sealing the wound of the relatively familiar redhead.

He knew her. She was-

Oh. Cas closed his eyes and forced as much healing as he could, the stub of her arm growing a good inch before he was too expended to do much more. It was the least he could do for Christian's sister, Belle. A cold feeling creeped along his neck as it occurred to him that Chris may also be under this stone.

He noticed the flattened fingers crushed under nearby debris and turned the surprisingly small woman away so that she would not see it when she awoke. He took one additional moment to lift the debris off of the dismembered limb, liberating the watch from her lifeless wrist. Cas was quite confident that he would not be able to reattach the arm- leaving it useless unless someone else could do so.

As he was thinking this, he watched in horror as his shifting of debris sent a new wave of rocks slamming down into the- well. To call it a human limb at this point would be charitable. He set a stone down softly in front of it before attempting to wake Belle.

All of these poor souls were dead. Serafina had seen the dead before; she was young and protected, but not naive or sequestered. Her father was an angel, a warrior. Her other father was a hunter, the protector of the innocent. She wasn’t afraid of death, or of dead bodies, but seeing no one alive here, that was disturbing. So she made sure she stuck within eyesight of her father, because the teenaged nephilim was more than a little creeped out now.

The goddess lady was doing things with dead people, and in all honesty, Sera wasn’t interested in sticking around for that. Not because it turned her stomach, nope, not at all, but because she couldn’t help over there and thus no point to be around for it.

And then her father flew away.

Damn it all, Sera didn’t want to be alone here, and even surrounded in all the weird people that had gathered to do the right thing and help anyone who needed it, Serafina was alone without any family with her. So she did the only thing that was, once again, left for her to do; she flew after Castiel.

When she landed, appearing in the small space with the sleeping (comatose?) Belle and her father, Sera blinked at what she saw, looking to Castiel before she whispered too softly for Belle to hear, “Dad?” This poor woman… They’d need to get her out of here. Still whispering, she asked, “Is she safe to be moved?”

The angel’s (and the nephilim’s) journey down into the space where Belle was trapped wasn’t exactly the uneventful action that they might have expected. As they passed through the island, they would both experience in that split second an echo of panic, a sympathetic terror, an agony of loss… but it was all gone once they were in with Belle, lost to the much-easier-to-process situation presented to them then. That is, lost until Cas’s shifting of the rubble, and the resulting thumps of rock, elicited a light shower of earth from above, pouring dirt down his neck… and a few of the glowing crystals.

Once the crystal touched their skin, it was much more than their ethereal passing through the island had been able to do. Once they were touching it, they could see flashes of disjointed images. They saw islands floating in the air, with clouds passing above and below them. They saw the floating ships and giant birds that transported people from place to place in this aerial paradise. They saw a giant floating island that was nothing but sea for as far as the eye could see.

Then they could see wars, knights mounted atop giant birds battling each other, knocking each other off their mounts as they flew over the rocky islands and the molten core that lay beneath the lush islands above. They saw islands falling, crashing into the magma below, rocky wastes and inhabited islands alike. They saw the ocean pouring out as its island fell. And they saw one last small island, holding what could only be called a temple with a great eagle atop it, falling as the flying knights jousted desperately above it.

All of this was imparted straight into their minds, the last thoughts of the world stored in the crystals around them.

On the surface, the men stared blankly at Fizzle and the others, almost at a loss now that they were alive and no longer falling. “This… doesn’t happen…” one of them said, sounding confused, but even as he did, they began to slowly grow more ghostly.

“It just… died. It always dies… everything Breaks,” another tried, looking for the world like he was trying to remember something, something he’d long forgotten. Ranni, though, being the source of their new life would be able to tell that something was wrong with their very existence. One moment, they felt like people that had just died, the next, they felt like they had just been imagined into existence, and a poor imagination at that.

Arjay had, of course, dealt with younger, even infant, cousins, but in that moment, he realized that he hadn't actually been left alone with one before, and certainly not in a location like this. It was, actually, one of the most stressful things he'd ever had asked of him, and he'd once had to personally negotiate with a shadow lord to stop an impending assault on Shadowdale. That fact, to an impending father, was... humbling.

Granted, he had to admit, in a situation like this, he was probably better able to protect the child than many others, so he couldn't fault the choice. A simple spell kept the wind lightly circling them, keeping the air clear around them as he sat down, lightly holding his aching head with his free hand. "I'm glad you're too young to remember this little lesson I've been given about hubris, little one," he mused, still not sure what had happened.

Still, he wasn't exactly helpless in the matter, and he didn't need to leave the child (or worse, bring it with him!) to enter the ruined island. The child's father was out there now... he didn't need to cast his power about aimlessly to find that heart.

In the space under the island, Arjay appeared as well. "Your child is fine, I'm not really here," he said, probably unnecessarily. He didn't have to really use his power on the angel to use him as a tether to project his image, but he still got enough of an idea about him to realize that he wasn't someone that would be fooled by an illusory body. "Enough of me is here, though, that I can help, though. Sweet heartbreak, Belle, what were you doing here..." Kneeling down, he reached out with the illusion's hand, touching Belle's forehead and casting a regeneration spell on her. "Not the fastest acting healing, but it should help with her arm at least," he said. "Unfortunately, I can't do anything to get her out of here in my current state." He looked up hopefully at the angel.

Dean opened his eyes, and closed them again. Fucking hell.

His head hurt. A lot of him hurt, actually, now that he was awake enough to start processing all the sensations. There was something heavy across his back and legs, and when he tried to pull away his ankle protested sharply.

Okay. He took a deep breath memories filtering back. He'd been in the garage, working on Baby, and then everything had collapsed with a mighty roar and a shower of rubble, and then everything had gone dark, and here he was trapped next to the crushed hulk of his car. He didn't even have time to think about what that meant because the panic hit him like a fucking Mack truck. Whatever had fallen on the Hub-- Cas and Sera were out there.

He had to find them. Make sure they were okay. Fucking yesterday. But first that meant getting out from all this shit. He forced himself to breath, twisted awkwardly, and pushed off the slabs of plaster and concrete that had fallen at an angle over him, half propped up against some more rubble. It took another couple agonizing minutes to work his leg free from the pile and when he got to his feet, his first few steps were half-hopped half-limped because, wow, his ankle fucking hurt.

Didn't matter. Cas had been out with the baby and something in Dean's chest constricted painfully at the thought that anything might have happened to either of them. He'd never been more glad Cas was an angel.

He strapped on his .45 and a knife and limped outside, picking his way carefully through the rubble of the bunker, heading for the center of town. How he was going to find Cas exactly, he didn't know, but he'd figured it out. It took longer than he liked to get there, his ankle fucked up as it was, and his face was set in a grimace born of both worry and pain by the time he found any signs of life.

It was a group of people standing around what looked like...bodies. Well, considering the damage, bodies weren't too much of a surprise. "The hell?" he said, and then blinked, because was that Arjay? Holding Sera? He ran forward, his hurt ankle forgotten and relief washing over him as he said, "Sera. Oh, thank God." Except, the picture didn't exactly make sense in the worst possible way. "Arjay. Where's Cas? What are you doing with our baby?"

That was the most important thing. The rest, he could figure out with later.

Sebastian had been around long enough in his own world to have seen quite a number of strange things. But he never seen an entire island just suddenly fall upon a section of the city. This wouldn’t have been much of an issue or a problem because he wasn’t in an immediate danger. He had simply admired the chaos from a distance and wondered, at a moment, how many people had to have died from the crushing weight of the island. It was a dark thought – one that the cult leader was used to. He imagined Death would have plenty of things to keep it busy that day as those who were caught under the island would soon face Death.

He had every intention of remaining uninvolved but there was that ping in the back of his mind. Something he always got whenever one of his connections was harmed or in danger of being severed. It took him half a second to figure out who it was. He hadn’t fed from many people in the Hub and only one of them he had allowed to live when he had. The connection he had placed on Belle told him that she was in danger but it took him a moment before he could figure out where exactly she was located.

Had she been caught in the downfall of the island? He scowled lightly to himself before he held out his hand. The fiery portal opened behind him and a quick step through it had him transporting from one location to Belle’s mental signature. Nearby there was a group of individuals and he started to move toward them but paused when he spotted what looked to be his doppelganger. He knew who Dean was thanks to the information he had obtained from Belle’s memories. He hummed lightly and considered his options carefully.

He decided there was nothing else he could do to prevent that. It seemed by the look of things that Belle was injured and trapped. He proceeded to step toward the group and felt the magical energy coming from one man tending to Belle. By the sound of things, they weren’t sure how to get Belle to safety. ”Then perhaps I can get her out of here.” He stated as he drew closer to the group. His gaze shifted across them all. Belle had allowed Sebastian to recently feed from her so he was rather strong at the moment. His gaze lingered to her form and saw the loss of her arm. His lips dipped down into a slight frown at the sight of it. He did enjoy that arm. That would have to be something he fixed as well.

”My name is Sebastian. I’ve been living with Belle for a short while now.” He explained as he stepped closer to where she was trapped. The first and primary issue was getting her out of there. Any other injuries could be dealt with after the fact. She seemed to have been given enough treatment that she was no longer unstable. He didn’t wait for anyone’s objection to his offer of help. He stretched his hand out and called forth another portal like he used to get there in the first place. This one formed below her form, making her body simply fall into it, as well as some rubble. The secondary portal appeared before him and with an outstretch of his arms he seemed able to pull her form out of the portal to hold her in his arms. The rubble fell upon the ground in front of them.

So now he stood there awkwardly cradling her. Playing the role of a hero. My how the tides have turned since his last time in the land of the living. This place wasn’t his home though. His gaze drifted around the group and waited to see if someone had an issue with him at the moment. So far he gave no reason to make them concerned unless they had issues with demonic energy. @all

Belle was not what one would charitably call ‘awake’ when the first voice called out to her, she managed to find ‘aware’ after he touched her sending healing and strength into her battered body.

Dimly she was aware of being touched by something greater than her, of the feeling of being enfolded in warmth, safety, he took away the fear, smothering it under the brilliant light of divinity, shunting away pain, terror, it could not stand against an angel of her faith.

Belle knew distantly that she was still trapped, badly wounded, but even as she recognized Arjay’s voice, she wanted to reach for him, the stump of her arm twitching at the mental command, tell him what she’d seen, felt, that for a second she had felt God. Of all of her friends she knew he would understand the peace that flowed through her and lingered still.

“-” her lips moved trying to express the impossible, blue eyes had just slitted open when another familiar voice reached her. Belle hardly had time to brace and no warning to tell her she needed to before she was falling, caught almost instantly, her terrified scream still echoing in the small gap.

“Arja?” she slurred, “Seb?” she was healed, but her mind still thought she was wounded, disoriented by the last few minutes. Blindly she looked towards where she knew the angel stood.

The flight down to where the woman was trapped was terrible. Sera shivered even as she appeared in the small room where the woman was trapped, looking around to see her father appear next to her, wings held close to herself, even though the others couldn’t see them, it was comforting to feel them, to know that they would protect her. Her father was helping the woman that was down here. Arm missing, unconscious, it didn’t look too good. Well, not without a Seraphim attending her, and a magical elf helping to regrow her lost limb…

And…

Someone else appeared in the small space, his aura sweeping over her and catching her attention. Her full attention. Because he was a monster. A demon. And he was holding the woman her father had darted off down here through that horrible island to help. Because he knew her. And a demon was picking her up, claiming he lived with her…

Sera’s eyes narrowed as she glared at the demon, “Please give her to Castiel.” Her wings were no longer tucked in close, not at the sight of a demon handling her father’s friend. That woman might as well be family for all Sera was glaring. Her wings stretched out behind her, a quiet almost lavender light shown from here eyes even as the shadows of her wings to show against the wall of rubble behind her as she gestured to her father. She asked politely, giving Sebastian the chance to show his true colors, be those the dark of villainy or the bright of a goodly being.

Growing up, her fathers had shared their stories, taught her the lessons they had learned via trial and error. She wouldn’t just judge him, no matter how her mind screamed at her that he couldn’t be good, not until he’d given her reason to do so. Still, no matter how much she was willing to hear him out or give him a chance, she needed to get that poor woman to someone she knew was safe. Where she and her father could protect her.

Ophelia looked around the scene, blinking as she tried to take in the magic and wonders and unexpected people all around her. She tried, but it was too much, too much to take in, to comprehend.

When she saw the red haired woman-Belle, she thought her name was, well, that Ophelia could understand, and possibly help with as well. She knelt down beside the injured woman, and pulled a healing potion from her bag "Here, drink this." she said, offering it up "Its a healing potion."

"Well, well, look what we have here."

All in all, Martin had to feel a little proud of himself. It wasn't every day that he drew such distinguished opposition for his plots... but then again, how long had it been since he'd undertaken something that had actual, measurable consequences? So far, it had all been ending little worlds here and there, but this? No, this was going to be a measurable, provable step toward his goals. This... would be quite the diversion, now, wouldn't it? He didn't really have any fear as he strode into their midst. They were walking a particular path right now, and on that path, his power was practically absolute... at least for the moment. There would be a time when that path would branch, and at that point... well, he'd just have to be ready, wouldn't he?

"So many of the little heroes of the worlds gathered here. So many, it's almost like someone put out a call. Is that it?" He smirked, eyeing Castiel in particular and looking him over. "Any words for me? Dire warnings? No? Hm. Pity, that voice is silent as ever. Shocking, that..." His eyes passed over the group, leering slightly as his eyes slimed over Sera, alighting on Sebastian for a moment. "You though..." He looked the man over, then shrugged, making a little phone gesture with his thumb and pinkie, mouthing 'Call me!' and winking at the supposed vampire.

The man walked among them, though it was hard to pin down his location at any given time. It was almost like if you tried to orient on him, he was suddenly
just on the edge of your vision, never right in front of you, never within striking distance. "Such esteemed guests here... So many people who have such important lives to lead." He hopped up onto rock... only when anyone actually turned to look at him, he was apparently sitting on top of a small, crumbled building just ahead of them. "So I'm going to make a generous little offer." He smirked, then made a shooing gesture. "Off with you. All of you. Nothing here is any of your business. Well..." He frowned, eyeing them, then smirked at Fizzle. "I suppose there are a couple affected parties present, but none of this concerns the rest of you. So let's just see all of you off, let the dust settle, and let this little rock fade like the bad memory it is. That would be the very wise idea right now, and if you decide not to be wise, well, it could get... ugly." He turned a little smirk and a wink at Belle. "Just ask her. She knows how ugly things really could get."

Less than fully aware Belle still managed a lopsided smile at the woman who offered a potion for her to sip, drinking it down trustingly.

There were a not a lot of things that could pull Belle out of the blissfully euphoric state she’d descended into after being touched by an Angel of the Lord. Martin’s voice? Oh that did The trick nicely.

It wasn’t Sebastian who held her so securely, it wasn’t the Angel who gave her peace that Belle looked for when that evil man addressed her; no it was Arjay and Dean. They knew her, Arjay had been there the last time Martin had-

“iffen ah remember correctly-“ Belle slid from Sebastian’s arms leaning on him as the stub of her arm itched and grew. “Last time we met ‘twas an Even smaller group of Folk That nearly done you in.” Of course Belle didn’t remember HER bit in that last battle; the ring her once husband to be gave her using Belle’s energy and will to summon the army of vengeful Avenger spirits, opening the gates to hell its self, swarming over him before Martin had chosen the better part of valor.

She did how ever wish for the comforting weight of the shield she’d taken with her from that world.

Belle was heart poundingly terrified; Martin was the first being she’d ever met that she’d not been able to find a glimmer of humanity within, and that clashed wildly with her moral idealism. So while her heart was lodged firmly in her throat, and she was finding evening breathing hard around it-

Belle was still Belle and needed to ask- “why?” Even taking a tiny step towards him, endeavoring likely in vain to call to some tiny sliver of humanity left within his poor twisted soul. “Martin...why? Ya end all the worlds-“ she cocked her head “ya here ya do that? Reach inta every world and bring it down from Hub?” From what she knew of his goals it would make sense… “and than what? What happens at the end?” God help her but she couldn’t not make the plea even while her knees quaked, and all she wanted was to let her friends care on her.

Sebastian was bombarded by a girl, ordering him to give Belle over to Castiel. Sebastian shouldn’t know who that individual was so he simply stared at the young woman who was trying to order him about. Before Sebastian could do anything; however, the pair were interrupted by another individual who had an offer of a potion that would help Belle. He remained rooted in his spot and decided not to intervene as a potion was passed through Belle’s lips. It would apparently help her heal. He hummed lightly as he watched the woman drink the potion and wondered if it would actually aid her with her recovery. If it didn’t, he still had the power to do so.

He could not wait to see the results because suddenly another presence appeared and his gaze shifted toward a man who seemed not to sit still. His presence glimmering and shifting constantly. Just out of sight. The immortals eyes adjusted and settled on him as he found himself on the roof. His lips twitched down as memories flooded his mind. Memories not his own but of the woman in his arm’s of her time held captive of this man. Ah, the fear she had for him was apparent in her memories. He was no little hero as Martin Broadcloak seemed to see below him. No, Sebastian was far from it.

He didn’t know Sebastian but the immortal knew him through Belle. He was offering them a chance to run off with their business and his voice was enough to stir Belle into climbing out of Sebastian’s arms. His hand settled on her waist when she seemed to need the support. Her consciousness roused by the fiend before her. Despite the fear he knew she must have felt in that moment, she was taking steps forward. She wanted to know why he was there and why he would want worlds to end. Sebastian had been like that – once. When he was controlled like a puppet by the entity Trigon. How Trigon wanted him to unlock him from a prison in another dimension so he could bring hell on earth. Sebastian had been able to handle a dozen heroes with powers on his own planet. That was before he was banished to Hell and became the Avatar of the Red. Where he gained the power to control the blood of other people so long as he had access to it. A cut. A scrap. A small needle-prick. That’s all that was needed for him to draw blood out if he so desired.

Sebastian was not a hero. But he still found he was placing a hand on Belle’s shoulder and drawing her back lightly as he stepped forward, becoming a figurative and literal wall between himself and Martin. A sorcerer. Oh how Sebastian did enjoy magic. Loved to harvest their abilities for a time to take as his own. ”You are weakened Belle, you should stay back, go home. Along with your friends.” He informed her before his gaze drew back up in the direction of Martin. The group that had been helping her had already mentioned their drained energy moments before when they tried to help her. Sebastian did not have such an issue at the moment.

”I have no business here or with you.” He stated neutrally toward the sorcerer. ”However, I did promise I would aid Belle if harm befell her. Seeing as you have caused this, and harmed her, that makes you my business. Unfortunate for you. I am most interested in seeing you bleed. The rest of them are of no business between us right now. ” He lifted his arms up and spread them out as though he were offering himself to Martin, ”Shall we which can be uglier?” There was plenty of blood around for Sebastian to feed off of if he needed the boost. The man before him made the unfortunate mistake of having injured bodies around. Bodies he would be able to draw strength from if harm befell him. The power of the Red Kingdom was his to control. But right now he wanted to sink his teeth in the man in front of him. His teeth elongated with the grin upon his lips – giving him a more vampiric appearance. He was no vampire. He could take on any number of demonic features as he wished. But better to let the viewers only see what they already believed him to be.

Fizzle had seen her share (probably more than that, really) of death and destruction. She was a Lantern! She lived in Waterdeep! Such things and adventures were a matter of course, naturally, but this… Of course, Fizzle had never watched a goddess of ruin bring the dead back to...a semblance of life. Not really alive, though, now were they? They were fading even as the rest of them watched, and Fizzle had to wonder why. Goddess seemed powerful enough to keep a few people alive even against their will. Such a goddess thing to do, really.

The angel? Handed his baby over to Arjay and Fizzle couldn’t help but to gravitate over to the elf as he sat down, bringing himself and the baby down to her level. “Aww, sweet little cherub, isn’t she?” The gnome cooed down to the little nephilim, rough edges settling down at the sight of a baby amidst all of this desolation. Looking up at the human man who approached, Fizzle gave him a deep nod. “Angels went,” she pointed to the ground, “Down. Someone trapped down there. Alive. Hopefully we’ll be seein’ em both again any minute now, along with whoever it was that’s trapped.

The group joined up with the rest of them on the surface, and of course that was when the bad guy decided to show up. Hastily, looking at the red haired woman, Fizzle drew out a small container and opened the top of it, revealing a pleasant smelling balm. Dipping two fingers into the balm, she reached out gently soothe it over Belle’s damaged arm. “Itchy, I’m sure. Seen this more than once. Happens when you go out into the world to do the good things where you can. Make it feel better,” the gnome nodded, “and it’s great for the skin, too.” She’d hook the woman up with plenty more later if she wanted, but for right now, they had a villain to deal with.

”So many of the little heroes of the worlds gathered here.”

Fizzle tried to turn her glare on the dark and broody mage that had the audacity to call size into question. And maybe it didn’t exactly work that way, because the man was all over the place, but bah! That wasn’t the point, now was it?! “Shouldn’t judge by size, magie-poo, that’ll put ya in the frying pan.” Her hand curled around a vial of swirling reds and oranges. Brightness flashed in the midst of the churning colors every now and again even as the alchemist held the concoction. The feeling of his gaze on her, sudden as it was even as he spoke of being affected, stayed her hand, though.

“Aw, darlin’,” the gnome said gently to the poor redhead, “Doesn’t do any good ta ask ‘em why. Fire’s a pretty thing, and some people just like to watch it devour everything.” Looking out toward Marten, Fizzle huffed, “I’ve faced a Tarrasque. Not afraid of a wizard unless his name’s got a Blackstaff or an Elminster in it.” There were names to be feared, after all. But not here, not that Fizzle knew. She sniffed at the overconfident idiot who wanted to face off against the wizard on his own. It was a foolhardy thing. Fizzle was brave, but she wasn’t stupid. “Don’t be an idiot. He’s a wizard, and he’s prepared for this fight. Use the brain behind that pretty face and think. There’s a power to be had in numbers and fighting with others for a shared goal.”

There was nothing easy about managing his physical body and the illusory projection at the same time, but Arjay wasn’t exactly a normal person anymore, either. Still, he kept his eyes closed as he answered Dean. “He is exploring under the island, getting…” He paused, focusing for a moment on the projection, then returning his attention to the conversation. “Getting Belle out from under it. Yes, she’s all right. And I’m holding the baby because I’m the one who doesn’t need to be physically be around to help.” He opened his eyes then, turning his head deeper onto the island with a frown. “Now they’re back above, but… something’s happening. That way, just a few minutes if you run. Go. I think they’ll need your help.” He hesitated, then sighed, resigning himself to the fact that he was just going to keep giving away the swords that he made. With the arm that wasn’t holding the baby, he grasped the sheath and flipped it up out of his sword belt, tossing it to Dean without drawing it. “And you might need that. Take it, and go. I don’t like the look of what’s going on.”

The Man in Black paced slowly in front of the group, amused, smirking back at the taunts. “Nearly did me in. My, that’s a very… lofty opinion of what happened, lovely. Shall we look over the events in a bit more detail?” He looked up at the sky, now standing on a balcony over them as he thought back. “Let’s look at it. You appeared, quite fortuitously, I might add, in my tower. How that happened? Well, I’m not sure. Little drops of fortune just tend find their way to me, I wasn’t going to complain about a present like that, now, was I? Anyway… your little friends came, put on a good show for me, and what happened? You made your way up, found me waiting at the top, with my portal right there for you to use, instead of finding me gone with the portal exploding in my wake. Tell me, now, you smart little thing… what does that tell you might have really happened back there in that tower?”

Then, though, he was right down in front of them, smiling at Sebastian. “So… this is where you want to stand, Mr. Man?” This time? He was most certainly in one place, smiling coolly at Brother Blood, easy to spot, not making any effort to be evasive. “Stay where you are,” he added, waving a hand at the rest of the group, who found themselves unable to take another step, at least for the moment. “We need to have a man to man here. Mr. Blood here seems to want to take a stand for what he says he believes. Let’s all see what he does next.”

Dean had a magic sword now. On pretty much any other day that would have been a cause to at least stop and appreciate how freaking cool that was, but instead he just accepted it, checked its weight and balance, and said, "Sweet. Thanks man. Take good care of Sera, you hear me?"

Then he was off, sword at the ready while he limp-jogged his way towards whatever the fuck was happening.

He saw a bunch of people standing around--inclusive Cas and big Sera, both looking okay, thank God--while some dude in a dark coat lorded over everybody making a speech. Dark coat guy, in the latest episode of that the fuck this day had to offer, was specifically addressing a different dude who just happened to be wearing Dean's face.

Wanting to scope out the scene before he was noticed, Dean edged behind the dusty wreckage of a flipped Toyota and crouched low, ignoring the stab of pain in his ankle. One hand gripped the sword and the other ghosted over the butt of the gun in his waistband, and he watched, and waited.

Castiel had been stunned beyond belief through his trip through the stone. It had him shuddering more than he cared to admit and he was rather more than slightly proud of Sera for withstanding it so well. Then the man wearing Cas's love's face came in- and Castiel had a similar reaction to his daughter, eye flaring blue. This man was not Dean. This man was not human any longer, and was not Dean.

Cas slid an angel blade into each hand with one swift movement, following the man up to the topside again. At which point his priorities shifted. Belle was important, she was Chris's sister, Dean's friend, and a good person- worthy of being protected. None of those things made her comparable to his boyfriend or daughter(s), who were now all in danger. And Cas would know their souls, blind, and deaf, he only needed to feel them near him to know.

His eyes were almost instantly lost in the glow of his grace, black wings stretched out on either side of him to act as a shield, keeping the baby from view, and hopefully drawing any attention away from Dean. When the doppelganger did a much better job at that, Cas took a moment, flashing to Dean's side and pressing a hand to his ankle, healing it and any other injuries before returning to stand in front of the others, being hit with a spell before Cas could do much more than grit his teeth.

His wings flared out behind him once more, the only part of his grace that wasn't bound to the limbs of his mortal body. He glanced at his boyfriend hoping that Dean could read in Cas's eyes- 'Be careful.' He knew that reaching out and touching Sera's mind, that both versions of his daughter would get the same message, though it would be lost on one of them.

Raani's brow line furrowed as she felt the lives in her grasp shudder and dissipate. She bit her lip for a second, wondering how best to explain the sensation to the others before settling on the simplest possibility. "They seem to have been some sort of construct. Fragments of imagination rather than true souls." She offered with a wave of her hand to indicate how little she cared about it. Despite that, on the inside she did have some concerns. Namely- She should have had the power to hold them there.

It occurred to her idly, as she followed the others and the ground beneath her feet burned away as she walked, that it could be, surrounded by other elements of her realms, that the influx of power was affecting her ability to balance her domains. Or perhaps it had been a lesser power that had constructed them and her casual display of strength had broken their forms down to nothing. She preferred the latter explanation.

Raani looked up at the newcomer with an expression of amusement. It occurred to her that she was likely the only one who did not care for his allegiances to good or evil amongst those in her company. She admired a man who could bring about such ruin. Such pain, destruction. Her complaint against him was that he had ended so many cycles of rebirth. Raani didn't mind a little pruning of the herd, didn't mind weakening a group to the point where they could no longer rally any sufficient force- but she did have issues with those who broke the perfect wheel.

Her aura thickened around her. Raani chose not to act as this man threatened them all, as he attempted to pin their feet in place, instead she took the role she often did. As passive observer. She tracked his movement with more than just her eyes, mentally mapping out how far he was from each of the realms she was worshiped in. She would standby. For now. But if he made a move to affect the cycle on one of her worlds, he would have a different facet of the Goddess facing him.

Today had been hard. So hard. Traveling through the island had been possibly the absolute worst experience Sera had ever had in her whole life. Which granted, hadn’t been all that long, especially compared to her father, but it was still… She was fairly certain even her dad would say that it had been a thoroughly unpleasant and difficult thing to experience.

Her temper was short and frayed by the time Sebastian appeared, and his likeness to her father was very unappreciated. How dare this man, this demon look like her father!

Sera’s grace was a different hue than her father’s, a soft amethyst, and it spilled from her eyes as she glared at Sebastian. Demons.

Even before she spoke to the man, before she could make another move, there was another player on the board. Stay where you are. That had been the command from the witch. Or...whatever he was. If he was a witch, he was more powerful than any she’d ever met. Again, maybe not really saying much, but still…

Unfurling behind her, Sera’s wings were long, arched, and sleek. Anger rippled through them, splaying the inky pinions and fluffing her wings, making them more imposing than they might have otherwise been. He couldn’t still her wings, not even with his command. She fought against the magic he set against her, against all of them, eyes aglow with the force of her resistance.

Hearing Castiel’s words, Sera’s eyes shifted to her fathers as she gave them a small grin even as she continued to wrestle with the magic. ’You too. Love you both.’

The tension grew within the group for a few more moments, the Man in Black staring down the possible vampire with the various people standing around them. Then, with a suddenness that almost felt like a snap, the power was gone, and the group found they could move again. Moreover, some of them knew that they needed to move again. Someone, something, was beckoning, though to some the sensation was more strong than others. All of the mortals could feel some sense of inevitability drawing them further into the island. Raani could feel it like a whispering that she heard with her entire being, though whether it was calling her or warning her wasn’t immediately apparent. To Castiel and Sera, though, it was like a sudden song, like music suddenly ringing out clearly, beautifully, but obviously incomplete, calling them and… well, the sensation was disconcertingly unlike anything that even the angel, in his millennia of existence, had felt, and it was coming from just over a break in the island up the street, where all they could currently see was the pale green illumination coming from the crystals filling the core of the island.

And, of course, when anyone looked around, the Man in Black was gone once again.
