In all of Virgil's time in the Hub, he couldn't say that this had happened. One minute he was in the Great Hall, the next he was in a forest. Looking around, he saw that he also wasn't alone, though he couldn't say he saw anyone he recognized.

He felt strange as he looked around, processing the situation, and Virgil realized that for once, he couldn't access his more advanced systems. His memory was still fine, yes, his body felt fine, but he couldn't feel any technology around them, couldn't even access the parts of him that would interact with them. Technology simply wasn't working. Aside from that, though, the air around them smelled surprisingly pristine, with no touch of the pollutants that people from Earth usually didn't even notice anymore, so used to them they were.

Noticing the piece of parchment in his hand, Virgil looked down at it. Road rations... why did he need to get road rations? Well, if it would help explain this, he supposed he'd have to do it, wouldn't he? "Everyone all right?" the gunslinger asked as he surveyed the people who'd been dropped here with him.

You know...some how McCoy honestly thought that being dead, a ghost even was the end of him getting dropped ass over tea kettle into situations THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM!

Really? He was now in..a forest?? “God damn it! I was working you godforsaken piece of crap!” He kicked at a tree, a growl of frustration escaping as his leg went right through it.

The paper in his hand was read with a disbelieving snort; “Really a fucking smile?! I’m a doctor dammit not a clown!” Finally taking in the other assholes surrounding him McCoy just rubbed his face, “Right so I’m going to find home and fuck this idiotic scavenger hunt. Everywhere in Hub is walkable, so I’m going walking.” He motioned for the others to join him if they wished.

So. Not only was Hub another hundred years of punishment from his boss (who was DEATH, and let it be known that while Death was just fine and all, as a boss? TASKMASTER, thank you. And so damn particular…), but now he had been removed from that city and placed in a forest on an unknown world, with no portal to be seen to return.

He just wanted to do his damn job so he could move on. Why was this so impossible?

As though of their own accord, Woo Bin’s eyes shifted left, then right, looking for the Goblin. If anyone were to do this, could do this, it was likely to be him.

Troublemaker.

The ghost of a doctor and a mechanical cowboy were directly in his sight, and so Woo Bin reached up and removed his hat, shaking his head, “This is not Hub. This is another world from there.” He looked down at the paper he hadn’t realized he’d been clutching, “A dragon scale. Of course.” Because that sounded just so easy...

And just like that, Matthew was somewhere else.

He turned about himself in surprise, his eyebrows rising into his hairline as he saw the forest around him. He recognized one face, the man who had met him when he'd appeared in the strange city, though... The others were all new to him... Some of them were dead, and the ones who weren't were clearly as confused as he was. So it hadn't been a matter of one of them had brought him here...

He glanced down at the paper in his hand. ".... A gold coin? Do they even make them anymore?" he questioned of no one in particular. Lifting his eyes to the trees, he frowned slightly. Without another word, he willed the ground immediately beneath his feet to lift into the air, a large chunk of earth lifting up with him as he quickly made his way up to hover above the tree tops, peering around them. Shielding his eyes against the sun with the hand clutching the piece of paper, he squinted into the distance. He thought he could see smoke, but for all his powers, telescopic vision was not one he possessed.

He idly wondered if he could perhaps change the space between here and there, force it to be smaller... But he couldn't quite say he'd be able to do that without also leveling everything for miles around. He sighed, letting the ground carry him back to the others, landing perhaps a little heavier than he expected, causing him to stagger slightly.

Flicking his thumb in the direction of the smoke he'd seen he commented "So uh... There's some smoke over that way... I dunno, could be something?" He paused again, looking at the paper in his hand. "What do you suppose this means though?"

"Oui, dey still make gold coins." Mercy replied, looking around at the assembled group "I'm fine." she added, addressing the cowboy, before adding "I t'ink dat we are suppose t'find de t'ings on our papers. Ah am looking fo' a 'thunderstone', whatever that is." for being in a strange place, with a group of people that she didn't know, Mercy sounded remarkably calm and collected, but she'd never been one to give in to mindless panic, and in a case like this appearing confident and relaxed was vitally important.

The man in blue was, as they said, full of piss and vinegar. Virgil had known plenty like him, but hopefully him venting his spleen would be over with quickly enough. Virgil turned his attention, instead, to the others that had appeared, taking them in in turn while the other man snarled and cursed behind him. Aside from their caustic companion, they all seemed to have the measure of the situation, and he nodded to what Matthew said. “If we’re to find any of this, finding a settlement will make it easiest. Fire’s as good a sign as any.”

When all the discussion was done, Virgil led them through the darkening forest, moving slowly and letting his eyes get accustomed to the dark as they went. Even as they neared the place that they had spotted the smoke through the break in the canopy, he could tell that this wasn’t going to be a settlement. The trees weren’t breaking enough for there to be a village, this was more likely a camp. As they grew closer, the smell of the smoke being partly trapped in by the trees told him that he was right. In the sudden hush, however, he grew rather certain that something wasn’t right. He held a hand up, indicating for the group to wait, as he sniffed, listened, thought. The sudden hush ahead of them told him that whoever was camping ahead had heard them, too. Anyone might go quiet at the approach of strangers, but…

The sudden very-muffled cry that sounded out ahead of them was what gave it away. “Back!” he hissed, scooting to the right and behind a tree. The light twanging that preceded the thunk into a nearby tree told him that they’d almost been ambushed. Looking over, he saw a small bolt, probably shot from an undersized bah (or crossbow, as he heard most call them on the Hub) piercing the bark, some kind of wicked looking liquid oozing down from the tip.

Dean was getting really digging tired of ending up in forests he'd never seen before for no goddamn reason at all. This time, with a while bunch of random ass strangers.

He'd been minding his own business in the Hub, not at all expecting to end up... Wherever this was... but he wouldn't have been Dean Winchester if he didn't have some kind of weapon on hand so he knelt quickly and pulled the knife out of his ankle hoster. It wasn't much, but it was better than nothing.

Except, he realized, there was already a piece of paper in his hand, which just said, "A candle." Which some (very hot) chick was saying was something he'd need to find.

"Yeah, really fuckin' helpful," Dean grumbled. At least the dude in the Star Trek duds had the right idea. "I'm all for walking. I mean, really not seeing how a candle or a good coin or whatever is gonna get us the hell out of here."

He'd taken about two steps when the bolt from a crossbow swished through the air and I embedded itself in a nearby tree. Great. There went any chance that whoever has that campfire up ahead might help them.

"Shit!" He breathed, flattening himself against a large trunk. "Shit, shit, shit. Who are these dudes and did one of ass clowns pissed then off or do they just not like the look of us?"

Matthew looked up as the others mentioned heading toward the smoke, nodding his own agreement. Given enough time he supposed he could have created the items they needed, or at least the ones written on the pages they all found themselves in here with. Yet at the same time, he could have moved them all out of this world and returned them to their original locations... given enough time. He had recently awoken to his powers, and he was far from a master of them in any sense... His usage had been reactionary, but he was beginning to decipher exactly how he could do the things he could do.

The one thing he still wasn't used to was the noise in his head, the voices that clamored over each other. He moved along with the group, until the cowboy looking guy hissed to get down. Matthew stopped, looking around. "Wha-" he began, before a bolt slammed into the tree just over his shoulder. Tensing in surprise, he let his eyes shift slightly toward the sudden threat, the air around the group audibly crackling from his surprise. "Uh... Thinking they're not friendly..." he commented, as he slipped around to stand behind the tree that had taken the bolt. He could have fairly easily annihilated everything in front of him, but he didn't know if doing that would simply end all existence, or just destroy something for a short distance in front... Dialing that kind of thing in was tricky... So he changed tact. Stepping out from behind the tree, he held up one hand in front of him, focusing on the air in front of his hand. He pulled the air together, altering the molecules to snap them together to form a kind of Shield from the air in front of him. A second bolt flew, smacking into the shield and sticking in place.

"Right... Glad that worked" he muttered to himself. Dying wasn't exceedingly fun, and coming back was even less so after all.

You know what sucked even more than vbeing dead? Being dead in a goddamn forest with a bunch of idiots who didn’t have a damn better idea of how to get back, besides the cowboy who seemed to at least have half a clue and remaining calm, which was to be honest with himself was a skill Leo was having issues with at the moment.

„Hey!“ Leo automatically tried to reach out for Mr floaty to pull him back to the relative safety of the tree line only to watch as his hand swipe through his shoulder uselessly. „God damn it get back here!“

Mccoy watched helplessly as a second cross bow bolt sliced through the air aiming to end that boys life before his eyes.

Thankfully it appeared he wasn’t a complete fool. „Give me heart attack nextime why don’t you!“

McCoy rolled his eyes at the bandits, stepping out making the (incorrect) assumption that nothing could hurt him, „I don’t suppose ya‘ll are afraid of ghosts?“ he quipped striding out into the encampment „Well how about this. Boo!“ He really hadn’t expected anything to happen, so when the whole group save one started screaming and running as far from him as possible McCoy was rightfully shocked. „What in the Sam Hill…“ he muttered watching than flee.

Trapped in a different world, one he was far from familiar with, in the wilderness, with a group of people he didn’t know, or barely knew in the case of Matthew Malloy, Woo Bin was torn between being relieved to find out that he was able to leave Hub at all, and frustration that he wasn’t able to simply return to the city that had become his home. It might not have been his choice, and his current situation there might be a form of punishment, but it was comfortable and familiar to him now, and he had found that aside from his assignments to play guide and babysitter to the newly arrived and dead, he rather liked it there.

The sudden attack by crossbow was an extremely unwelcome addition to being trapped in a foreign world with strangers. With a sneer that was a cross between furious and disgusted, Woo Bin turned his attention toward where the attacks came from glowering as he stopped the remaining bolts in the air, keeping them aloft, twisting and turning in the air until they settled in the air once more, this time facing those who had fired them before darting forward into the tree line. Too high to hit anyone, but plenty close enough to frighten whoever it was attacking them.

“It doesn’t matter who they are, or why they are attacking us.” He spoke the words calmly, and turned a rather droll, unamused look toward Dr. McCoy, “You would have to be living to have a heart attack.” When they started to run away from the doctor, the reaper finally cracked a smile, “A trick to remember - sicc the dead doctor on them.”

Before the one guy had gone and stopped all the bolts in midair, Dean had been prepared for an all out war. He'd pulled his Colt .45, which luckily he'd been packing when he'd been dumped into this forest, and aimed toward the encampment looking for any hint of movement that would make a worthwhile target. He hadn't been carrying any extra ammo and it wasn't worth it to fire into the trees willy nilly.

A bolt flew by his head, and he smirked, because didn't monsters, or whatever the hell these guys were, always have shitty aim?

He was still smirking when a second bolt slammed into his leg, burying itself deep in his thigh a few inches above the knee. He staggered and dropped with a surprised cry, landing awkwardly on the leafy ground. The pain hit a second later and he bit his lip, not about to let the crossbow dudes or any of his new companions hear the sounds that wanted to come out of him. "Fuck," he muttered instead, and forced himself to twist around and lift his gun. Shooting from the ground was never ideal but--

And then there were all the crossbow bolts, floating in midair then zipping right back to where they'd come from.

Dean pushed himself upright, grimacing at the crossbow bolt sticking out of his leg. Well this was just... embarrassing. And painful. But somehow nobody else seemed to have gotten hit, maybe because at least one of the guys was a superhero and one was a ghost and one could apparently stop projectiles in midair with some sort of mind powers.

"Uh, hey guys," he said, wishing he'd been anyone else in this encounter. At least the Star Trek ghost was a doctor. "Little help here?"

Mercy had been trained as a Thief, and as an Assassin before that, which meant that she knew exactly how screwed she was, in a dark woods, with no weapons when people were shooting at them with crossbows. Then one of the men, who was armed with (unless she missed her guess) a Colt 45, went down beside the oak tree she'd taken shelter behind with an arrow in his leg.

Taking a chance, she pulled him into the hollow by the roots where she'd been hiding, and took a look at his leg "Et did no' hit anyt'ing vital, so fo' now de arrow stays in. Mind if I borrow de pistol?" she asked, nodding at the gun. Not that she was looking forward to something with that much recoil, but she was in a better position to use it than Dean was.

There was one more harrier who hadn't seen fit to run, but Virgil was honestly more disturbed by the ones who had. Eventually, they would want to come back for their things, and they would want to be done with this and moved well along by then. Complicating that, one of them was wounded now.

"Careful with the guns," he said, not looking at Merci as he slid down toward the ground along the trunk of the tree. "This world... it's different. The gun's might not work, or worse they might work badly and misfire." He himself seemed to be ignoring his own guns. Instead, he drew a long dagger out of his boot. Holding it by the tip, he spun out from behind the tree, hurling it at the last... well, he supposed it was an elf, judging by the ears. He hadn't ever been one much for fairy tales, so he didn't know what it meant that it had black skin, but it still bled red when Virgil's dagger buried itself into its thigh. They had to move quickly, because he'd seen one more thing that the others probably hadn't yet: The figure lying bound and gagged near a tree across the clearing.

As the Drow staggered, the Gunslinger made a dive for one of the crossbows that had been dropped, little handheld jobs, barely bigger in the hand than a pistol, and the quarrel of bolts that lay beside it. He didn't know how quickly he could fit a bolt into the weapon, but hopefully his companions would help buy him time, or even finish the thing off.

Yes he was a damn doctor! But he was also in some fucked up world of elves and damn cross bolts! „I CAN still feel like it!“ McCoy covered his shock by snipping at the thin hipster kid. „Normally folks only run when its time for their vaccinations.“ he quipped turning to see… „Oh for the love of-!“ Really? Way was he always surrounded by idiots that couldn‘t keep their skins intact for FIVE minutes?!

Crouching next to the leg wound and the lovely lady attempting to help him Leo nodded politely at her „Mind if I borrow your hands darlin‘?“ Because a quick test had already proven he couldn‘t touch jack shit. An also none of the tools he could normally use in Hub had come with him, so McCoy was effective as shit all. Perfect.

McCoy glanced at one of the discarded bolts eyes narrowing that at least they were simple broadheads and not barbed which meant...what was his name? „What’s your name again kid?“ He asked making as clear a visual assessment as he could. „Well looks like its a clean hit. Need ta get it out and clean it-„ He glanced over at the men still fighting, „Hey! Look for anything that smells like alcohol!“ multitask, it was just one guy left and he was already down.

McCoy automatically reached to clap dean on the shoulder only to scoff at himself when his hand slid through. „You are gonna be ok.“ He nodded to the woman, „Ya got any training then?“

"While I'm always keen on sharing a drink with an attractive man...." Hanali offered as she stepped daintily down towards the group. She smiled at them all, blonde hair flowing in the breeze despite the complete lack of wind. Her gown was simple, and she could have been confused for a beautiful mortal, if she weren't walking a few centimetres above the ground, her glow radiating in a way that had the remaining drow turn to run for cover.

That soured her smile, and with a glare, the drow dropped where they stood, chest no longer rising and falling in an indication of life.

Turning back to the visitors as though nothing had happened, the elf continued her casual stroll to where Dean lay. She carefully dropped to her knees, snapping off the back of the bolt and shoving the rest through, healing it closed as it passed. Painlessly of course. If anything it might feel nice.

"Consider yourself lucky. If I did not know for certain that my Chosen holds a certain fondness for you, I would likely not have appeared. Observed, certainly, but then, perhaps you all can tell me what you know about what has happened with the hub."

Standing back up, Hanali brushed her hair back behind her pointed ears. "Because I am rather disconcerted, not knowing in which universe Arjay is, and likewise being unattached from my other self." Her smile was pleasant enough though the show of teeth stated a certain amount of emotion boiling under the surface. "If any of you are involved in the reason, I may have to take you apart until I know how to undo it." She added sweetly.

Before looking them over and giving an imperious nod. "Though none of you seem the sort. I am Hanali Celanil. Goddess of Love. You may have seen me in the hub as Sune, incarnation of Love."

Woo Bin would admit to being fairly impressed with the little group of people who had appeared in this world with him. It was good to know that he was with others who were capable and willing to stand and fight if the situation called for it.

When Dean was hit, Woo Bin didn’t react. He didn’t realize until Dean said something that one of the bolts had found their way to a member of his party, and he frowned when he saw the bolt sticking out of the young man’s leg. That was unfortunate, mostly for Dean but also for all of them. Worse, he doubted any of those here had any actual healing powers.

The dead (or rather undead) doctor and the red haired lady looked after the young man who had been hit by one of the crossbow bolts, Woo Bin followed the cowboy, looking for alcohol as had been requested by the doctor. He ignored the injured dark skinned elf the cowboy had wounded save to give the creature a dark, foreboding look as he headed toward where he and his allies had made their camp. Perhaps they would have something that smelled like alcohol…

He turned long enough to arch a brow at Sune, “My employer would be annoyed if you did that, I think. Though I can’t feel his presence here, either.” It was weird, to not feel Death in a world. “But I am fairly certain that none of us here did this. At least not on purpose.” He didn’t look toward Matthew, but his mind certainly turned the idea over his head, whether Matthew might have brought them here...
