powers: Jax is a normal human being with no superhuman abilities
strengths: Leadership - As a member of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Jax was first the vice president, then the president. He was responsible for the club’s activities, legal and illegal, for keeping the club’s members in line, making and breaking alliances.

Criminal Activity - Jax is well acquainted with the ins and outs of criminal activity, including but not limited to gun trade, armed robbery, operating within organized crime. He is familiar with drug trade, though he has never personally participated in it.

Mechanical knowledge - Jax is skilled with automotive repair and firearm assembly/repair.

Marksmanship - Jax was trained from a young age to be an excellent shot with all manners of firearms. He can pick up and use any weapon that he comes across that bears commonalities to traditional firearms.

weaknesses: Reluctant but unrepentant criminal - Jax has come to accept the fact that he is not a good man, although a part of him always wants to be. He hasn’t known any other way of life, and has shown himself to be incompatible with accepting another way of life.

Hotheaded - While Jax’s tendency is to handle things with bribes, deals, or threats before resorting to violence, he’s shown to be unable to restrain his violent impulses when someone he loves, particularly his family, has been hurt, and in some cases mentioned in the wrong context.

equipment: 2003 Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide Sport, Springfield custom professional 1911-A1 handgun, Glock 26 handgun.

Jax was born into the life of an outlaw, his father being the founder of the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club, his mother the acknowledged queen of the club, married first to his father, John Teller, and then to John’s successor after John’s death in a motorcycle accident. Jax and his childhood friend, Opie Winston, both wanted nothing more than to be in the club like their fathers as they grew up. Jax dropped out of high school to prospect with the club, becoming a full member when he was seventeen. He served several stints in jail for smuggling and gun running. Despite the plethora of women who were available to members of the club, Jax grew lonely enough to marry Wendy Case, one of the club’s hangers-on, enjoying a brief, unfulfilling marriage before filing for divorce. At a time when they were briefly trying to reconcile, Wendy got pregnant, but the two separated again soon after. Jax lived at the club’s clubhouse, while Wendy began using drugs again, eventually ODing on crank and almost losing their son, Abel, who was born ten weeks premature with multiple health issues (all of which were eventually overcome).

Jax went on to marry his childhood sweetheart, Tara Knowles, who struggled with the life of crime that her new husband lived. Trying to convince him that this was no life for them to raise a family in, Tara applied all the pressure that she could to Jax to get him to leave the club and leave his hometown. Jax, unable to abandon the club when it was caught between several tenuous situations, all of his brothers in danger of being killed or put in prison, was caught between his love of the men who had stood beside him through thick and thin and the mother of his second child and the promises he’d made to her. Maneuvering around deals and conditions from Mexican cartels, the IRA, organized crime that had much more connection than they did, and federal agents constantly investigating them, Jax managed, against all odds, to successfully pull the club out of the business of arms dealing, falling back onto much less lucrative but much safer business opportunities in pornography and escorts. He was prepared to take the fall for the club, go to jail to get the law off of them for their history in the gun business and allow his now-estranged wife to escape his life of crime with their children, but instead had his life was turned upside down when his wife was found murdered in their home.

Unable to be charged for anything, all of the deals that had been made hinging on now-deceased wife’s testimony, Jax was released from prison, and went on a spree of vengeance that took apart the Lin Triad, which he thought was responsible for his wife’s death due to false information supplied by his mother, the true murderer. By the time Jax came to his senses, he was wanted by both the law and the other chapters of his club, and he saw no escape except to take care of all of the club’s problems himself. After killing his mother for the murder of his wife, Jax spent his last day in Charming killing all of the loose ends that could threaten his club, laying all of his confessions on the DA, and then riding his father’s motorcycle out onto the highway, leading several police force’s on a chase up the back roads until finally coming across a semi coming in the opposite direction, which, like his father had, he let his bike drift in front of to bring the whole bloody affair to an end.

It was, then, a complete surprise to Jax when he woke up in the Hub after the jolt of the impact. He was lying by the side of the road, his bike a few feet away, with no police, no semis in sight. With no one searching for him now, he just rode and kept riding, looking to find his place in this new, strange world, unsure of what he was supposed to be doing, how he was still alive, or more importantly, what he was still alive for.

Friends - Jax’s friendships tend to not have many moral aspects, save one: Loyalty. Jax has been friends with criminals and legitimate citizens, though he does tend to mesh better with the criminal element. He stands by his friends, as long as they stand by him and don’t go too far over the edge.

Enemies - That said, Jax does have a few lines he doesn’t let anyone cross. While he’s run weapons and supported criminal enterprise, he holds a very dim view of drug dealers, actively making sure that those who deal stay out of his hometown, even if he turns a blind eye to the fact that they deal for other business. He doesn’t, however, turn a blind eye to some more unforgivable crimes. Rape and domestic abuse, he doesn’t tolerate, nor will he have any part in anything that brings harm to children.

Jax is still not prepared for a relationship. While promiscuous, it hasn’t been very long for him since his wife was killed, even if they were separated and their relationship had been very rocky. He will not easily fall into anything serious, though casual affairs might come.
